On-Site Services

Dielectric Testing and Boom Inspections per ANSI A92.2, A10-31 (Servicing  East of the Mississippi, based on fleet volume)

Some highlights of our Dielectric services:

-  The insulators on bucket trucks are waxed as per the manufacturer to inhibit any premature breakdown of the fiberglass and to remove any debris such as oil, grease and tar that may allow electricity to move across the insulator.

- The outriggers are sprayed with a dry moly and the boom and chains are fully lubricated.

- All access panels on the boom are removed to gain proper access to the interior of the boom to inspect all the fasteners, lift rods, chains and hydraulic hoses.

- When inspecting digger derricks, we fully extend the winch rope to inspect for fraying and when possible, we      remove the rope from the derrick to insure for a proper dielectric test reading as per ANSI A10.31 Section 5.2.1

- All hot sticks are cleaned, dry tested per the manufacturer, waxed and wet tested per OSHA ASTM F711

- Prior to testing blankets and line hoses, each one is inspected to verify no cuts or abrasions are present that would inhibit its insulating value .

- Ground sets and mechanical jumpers are tested for their resistance. Prior to testing they are visually and physically inspected to identify any cuts or nicks in the insulation.

Our pricing is simple and straight forward. There are no travel, set up or shop fees added.
